Quality Rotors from Magura, Hope, Hayes, Shimano & SRAM
You can personalize your bike’s performance and look with rotors from manufactures like Magura, Hope, Hayes, Shimano and SRAM.
MTB Rotors are available in a range of sizes and configurations. This is to give riders the opportunity to fine tune leverage and heat capacity in their braking systems.
Many riders with 4 piston brakes find they can ride smaller rotors, thus decreasing the leverage or “bite” of the brakes. This improves modulation.
When to Replace MTB Rotors
Rotors are wear items and will need to be replaced from time to time. As rotors wear they may develop shapes which minimize the contact patch of new brake pads limiting effectiveness until the brake pad “takes shape”.
It is a good idea to review your rotors every couple sets of pads. Ensure they haven’t worn past the manufactures wear limit or have an extreme shape.
