Description
The DV9 is a do-it-all carbon fiber hardtail designed to take you from the trailhead to the starting line, with a session at the pump track in between. Lighter-weight, with up-to-date geometry, and engineered to the same exacting standards as the rest of our line, it packs a ton of performance into a more accessible price.
Inspired by the World Cup Race Winning Exie USA, the DV9 features a rowdy-but-not-too-rowdy 66.5° head angle and ultra-playful 425mm chainstays. A low standover improves fit for the inseam-challenged rider, while size-specific seat tube angles give riders of all heights an efficient yet enjoyable riding position.
At Ibis Cycles, we believe that everyone deserves a high-quality bike, regardless of their budget. The idea for the DV9 came during a NICA high school Cross Country Mountain bike race. While coaching his daughter’s team, Ibis CEO and partner Hans Heim noticed many athletes were at a disadvantage due to their equipment.
Determined to level the playing field, he developed the DV9 and our award-winning Aluminum Frame models. His vision with the DV9? Create a fast, light weight, versatile bike, that you could pay for with a summer job.
