GX AXS Transmission Suspension Details
The Ibis Oso GX Transmission build features a FOX Performance Float 38 fork with a GRIP damper.
The rear shock is a FOX Performance Elite X2. The Performance Elite utilizes the same damper as the FOX Factory X2 but with the black ano shock shaft.
A very popular upgrade to the Oso GX Transmission is to swap the GRIP damper for a GRIP2 damper. This creates essentially a Performance Elite fork. Like the rear shock a Performance Elite fork provides high and low speed compression as well as rebound settings. These four adjustments as well as volume spacing produce the widest setup range available.

Ibis spec’s the Blackbird Send with Ibis hubs for the Oso GX Transmission build. These are great wheels for riders looking at higher volume options.
Some eMTB riders will upgrade the wheels to more robust hub systems such as Chris King, Industry Nine or Onyx. If you’re shopping hubs it’s a good time to consider whether you’ll prefer aluminum rims like the WTB, RideFast or Factor or whether the improved power transfer and tracking of carbon like NOX or Ibis Carbon suit your riding.
BikeCo offers a selection of the best components built by our in-house experts. This allows us to fine tune your wheelset to compliment your riding style nad needs.
With the addition of the Bosch motor the eMTB Oso specs tires known for great performance in burly terrain. Both front and rear tire are spec’d with 3C MaxxGrip rubber and Double Down sidewall technology.
Some riders will prefer a rear tire with a bit more bite than the Aggressor to compliment the Assegai front tire.
Have a favorite tire combo? Let’s get you dialed in. Tires are a very personal feel and if you prefer an EXO Plus rear, or a Double Down front, or a DHF, Dissector, Aggressor, whatever – let’s get you setup right, right out of the box.

The Oso features great eMTB brakes: the Shimano XT M8120 4-piston and 220mm rotors. However, many riders may prefer a different feel – particularly on an eMTB that’s heavier and will require some additional braking compared to a standard bike.
Popular Brake Swaps & Upgrades to the Ibis Oso GX
We offer the best brakes from Shimano, TRP, Hope and Magura.
Getting brakes that compliment your riding style is important for your bike’s performance.
Riders looking for great power with snappy performance gravitate to Shimano SLX, XT and XTR brakes.
TRP offers even a little more power with slightly improved modulation compared to Shimano.
With the Tech 4 Hope has increased their total power in-line with Shimano and Magura without compromising their amazing modulation.
Magura continues to be the most popular aftermarket brake, especially installed on new builds. We will credit you for any part swaps and with the variety of Magura price points most riders find the MT5 and MT7 brakes provide unbeatable value. Magura brakes offer great total power and top tier modulation without feeling soft. Magura offers a variety of brake levers to help riders fine tune their performance.

Ibis Oso Geometry
Learn more about the Ibis Oso GX Transmission Build geometry on the tabs below.
Ibis Oso Geo
For Oso geometry details or to compare the Oso with other class leading Enduro e-bikes use these tabs.
The Ibis Oso GX Transmission Build is available in sizes Small, Medium, Large and X-Large. As the Small and Medium are Mullet bikes, 29 front and 27.5 rear wheels while the Large and X-Large are 29 front and rear riders between Medium and Large have personality differences as well as sizing variations.
With a 64 degree headtube angle across all sizes the steering performance and trail measurements are well behaved regardless of size. The effective seat tube angle varies across the sizes as the saddle moves further from the bottom bracket. This gives the Oso a well balanced position for technical climbing.
Standover between the Large and X-Large is similar however the seattube length and top tube have expected differences.
Like most enduro bikes the Oso fit is going to be based around riders height, inseam, shoulder width and arm width.
Inseam and leg length make a large difference in sizing options. Longer legs typically will upsize while riders with longer torsos will review saddle height, stack and reach to determine which size will fit their riding styles.
Questions on sizing? Get in touch with our team and we are happy to go over your details to ensure we get you on the right size bike for your riding!
