Can I Replace Just a Chain

Can you replace just a chain?

Maybe. If your drivetrain is fresh a new chain may be all you need. However, if you’ve had it for any length of time it’s likely you’ll need more than a chain.

We recommend that riders replace cassette, chain and chain ring as a group. These components “wear in” as a group and will function best with their mated set. A new chain on a worn cassette or chain ring will likely skip worse than a evening worn set.
