There are three basic areas of MTB hydration.

Hip packs are the latest “old” thing to come back. Designed to sit low on your body these eliminate stress on your neck and shoulders. Most hip packs have bladders for water. Others carry water bottles. Most should fit your waterproof yellow original WalkMan…

Backpacks for longer adventure rides or those who carry more to feel confident on trail. These backpacks usually have a water bladder for hydration.

Bottles and cages are available for riders who just need a bit of water on the bike or in a jersey pocket.
