These services maintain both standard and Pro Tune forks. Running a stock fork? Learn more about advantages of BikeCo Pro Tunes here.

Service interval recommendations are based upon mileage, riding conditions, riding style as well as preference.

BikeCo’s staff will help you define which service is best for your needs at time of drop off (for local clients) or over the phone for suspension shipped in.

Partial Fork Service

BikeCo Full and Partial Fork Services. New Bath Oil, New Dust Wipers & Foam Rings. Inspect Bushings and Stanchions.

BikeCo’s Partial Fork Service ensures the best performance of the bath oil used to lubricate the upper and lower assemblies between full services.

Bath oil is subject to exposure to dirt, or water if you’re too aggressive washing your bike, ingress which degrades its performance. This creates additional slide friction leading to a “stickier” fork feel.

With a BikeCo Partial Fork Service bath oil is replaced, lowers are cleaned, damper is cycled to review performance, and wiper seals, foam rings, bushings as well as stanchions are inspected for wear.

Depending on service interval and conditions wiper seals and foam rings may or may need replacement.

Any evidence of a wet or weeping seal should lead to replacement. Foam rings in good condition can be cleaned. These act as the “oil filter” keeping the outside well, outside of your fork lowers. Clogged foam rings are less effective and allow more debris to pass by contaminating the bath oi

Partial Fork Service – $40 + Wiper Seals & Foam Rings if Required.

Partial Fork Services are typically are used between full damper services.

Suggested service intervals are based on use and rider preference. For instance riders who put in a lot of miles often do 2 full and 2 partial services during a year. A grassroot racer may do 3 full service and 3 partial services during a year. More serious racers should consider minimally a partial service before each event to maximize performance and full services as required.

Refreshing bath oil provides a smoother feeling fork while lowering potential heat issues. If your fork feels “sticky” after a partial fork service the damper should be addressed. In the case of BikeCo Partial Fork Service our suspension techs will review the damper and advise you if a full service is required.

At BikeCo we offer two levels of full fork service depending on fork condition and function.

Full Service Level A

BikeCo Full and Partial Fork Services Full Level A. New bath oil, dust wipers, damper oil & bleed. Inspect bushings, stanchions, air sleeve.

This is the most common fork service over the past several years.

With a BikeCo Full Fork Service Level A bath oil is replaced, lowers are cleaned, damper oil is replaced as well as bled, damper is cycled to review performance, air piston assembly is cleaned and inspected, wiper seals and foam rings are replaced, in addition bushings as well as inner and outer stanchions are inspected for wear.

This service addresses slide friction from bath oil wear together with improving damper consistency with fresh oil and BikeCo’s improved bleed techniques.

Full Fork Service Level A – $135* including Wiper Seals & Foam Rings.

Full Services allow our suspension tech’s to visually inspect your fork for signs of premature wear or issues with seals, etc.

So if your fork is experiencing air loss or substantial damper inconsistencies Full Fork Service Level B goes to the next level.

Full Fork Service Level B

BikeCo Full and Partial Fork Services Full Level B

Service Level B adds a complete tear down, rebuild and new seals on the damper. Given the quality of modern suspension, particularly Fox, the frequency of damper seal issues is very low. Symptoms of a damper that needs to be rebuild include extreme performance fluctuations and inconsistencies.

In addition new air piston and air piston seal are installed with the Level B service. Again, modern forks don’t tend to have air piston or seal issues. For example, if you’re losing PSI consistently or having top out issues it’s worth a look. Typically air piston issues have a root with another issue, scratched inner stanchion, etc.

Full Fork Service Level B – $175* including Damper Seals, Air Piston and Seals, Wiper Seals as well as Foam Rings.

Questions? Our staff is happy to discuss your particular performance issues to help you define which service is right for you.

*Pricing is for Fox Forks. -Part costs may vary for other makes of suspension
