Sometimes I look at a build and think, ya – if I was building this frame it would come out like THAT bike. This custom Ibis Ripley build hits all the check marks!
Designed as a light, nimble bike with plenty in the tank the Ripley is at home on variety of trails. All day adventures or quick after work enduro rips: this is a bike that you will want to go rip on trail.
Giving the Ripley a bit more punch are the 2.5″ Maxxis tires front and rear. In the front the popular Minion DHF inspires confidence when stuffing the bike into corners. The rear’s 2.5″ Aggressor pairs well with the 34mm internal width Ibis 938 rims allowing fun lean angles. The quick rolling center section of the Aggressor is efficient and quick to accelerate.

When you want to slow down the Magura MT5 brakes provide an unmatched balance of power and modulation. At an amazing price point. I personally ran the MT5’s on bike after bike without putting any thought other than pads into them… Can’t say enough good things about them.
Contact points are important on any bike. This one capitalizes on the long time favorite WTB Silverado saddle as well as Renthal bar and stem. The Renthal Fatbar provides riders a variety of rise choices depending on desired setup. The Renthal bar really shines when you get up to smash on the front end driving power into it. Remember, if you use the Renthal Apex stem to slide the the connections off to the narrower side of the bars. Since the front clamp is more than 180 degrees you don’t want to ever just push it on!
